Microsoft Azure Tutorial – Cloud Computing With Azure

The cloud computing web platform Microsoft Azure is designed and built by Microsoft. The platform is used for building, deploying, and managing both services and applications and a worldwide network of different data centres is also used for the purpose.

What is Cloud Computing

Cloud Computing is putting all the data in the Cloud servers. The Cloud servers can increase or decrease their capacity automatically in response to the web traffic and it is the duty of the cloud provider to manage the servers. Cloud servers have also got many other advantages over the in-house servers. Those having certification in cloud computing (including the Microsoft Azure certifications like MCSA) have a very bright and promising career. It is estimated that there will be a 19.4% GACR (compounded annual growth rate) towards spending on cloud services and an investment of around US dollars 141 million will be made in this segment by the year 2019. That is why cloud computing course certification holders are in great demand.

Prerequisites

Azure certifications and courses are for the software developers who can develop a world-class application by using Windows Azure. In order to learn Azure, you should have a know-how of Windows environment and cloud computing.

Cloud: Types, Basic Architecture and Components

The cloud storage options include public cloud (free and open to all and sundry, for instance, Microsoft and Google Cloud), private cloud (dedicated to any particular organization and possessing unshareable data), and hybrid clouds (amalgamating features of both public and private clouds).

As evident, Cloud Computing involves storing of data on the internet. This data can be stored at any remote place and is also synchronized with other relevant web information. The basic architecture and framework of cloud computing involve 4 essential components including front-end device (devices used by the client for assessing program data), back-end platform (includes virtual machines, servers, computers etc), network and cloud delivery.

Benefits of cloud services

Cloud data processing offers more scalability, is cost-effective (involves releases expenditure on IT infrastructure), provides for anytime access that is not dependant on hardware configuration and location, and greater reliability (cloud-stored data is not lost easily).

Models of cloud computing and service

The three basic models in this regard are:

SaaS or Software as a Service: Here the service provider is the provider of all hardware infrastructure and the related software products. A remote client, hosted desktop or a web browser is used for interaction and running of applications. Examples include Yahoo and Gmail etc.

PaaS or Platform as a Service: Here the service provider offers various product development and software creation tools to its client as part of the service. These tools are hosted on the IT and cloud infrastructure of the service provider. Developers can create and deploy the software applications and solutions on the cloud platform itself. Microsoft Azure is an example of PaaS.

IaaS or infrastructure as a Service: Here the service provider provides storage, computers and all the network components (including firewall).

The Azure Management Model

To be a Microsoft Azure professional you can pursue the MCSA or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert or MCSE  certification. You can enroll in these certifications online at leading education services web portals. You will be provided hands-on training in real-world projects, instructor-led lectures and training and all other learning resources required at a very affordable cost. Azure training will help you know all the modules in depth.
